The theory that extrapolates on the «Evil Morty’s Rick» theory says that Evil Morty got the idea from our Rick, but is using it to turn all Mortys against Ricks for good. When the Mortys escape and kill Evil Rick, this is exactly what Evil Morty wants.
This didn’t work for him because of the broadcasting of his brainwaves. Even the torture cannot hide the broadcasted brainwaves of the most evil Rick (evil morty) from the Rickest Rick. It seems really strange that our Rick could still find Evil Rick through all those Mortys.

Now onto my theory, I believe the Evil Morty in this episode is Rick’s original Morty from his own timeline, and I think this explains why Rick is always talking down to and belittling our Morty. I think in Rick’s original timeline he was much closer to the family than he is in this new one.
