A mere four years after the last reissue of the album (which included a super deluxe comic book edition with CD and 5.1 surround sound blu-ray audio) Canadian rock band Rush are preparing an even more ‘super’ deluxe edition of their 1976 album 2112 for a December release.

The following year saw Rush embark on their North American R40 tour, which was purported to be their last large-scale tour. It was chronicled in the 2015 CD/DVD concert album R40 Live. The band celebrated the 40th anniversary of their classic 2112 with a deluxe reissue in a variety of packages.
