Sep 01, 2016 · Diablo III bases almost all damage output on weapon damage. That means that the lower your weapon’s damage (comparitively speaking), the more multipliers, additive bonuses, and other modifiers you need to deal enough damage to push GRs.

Sep 02, 2016 · But you cannot understimate the value of AOE in Diablo III, particularly in a build that uses one-handed weapons. To give you an idea of what I mean, a Wastes nuke would have to be 2-3 x the nuke potential of Fire EQ with CoE and Wrath on cycle to make up the damage difference between Blade of Tribes and BK swords.
